LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 84-year-old man from a 951-foot cruise ship approximately 27 miles west of Santa Barbara, Saturday.
At 12 p.m., Saturday, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles/Long Beach command center received a report that a passenger aboard the cruise ship, Grand Princess, was experiencing symptoms of an arterial aneurysm in his left leg and was in need of immediate medical attention.... [Read More]

HONOLULU — The Coast Guard responded to a report of a disabled 45-foot-sailing vessel with 14 people aboard 3 miles west of Diamond Head, Oahu, Saturday.
A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Honolulu was launched to the scene and towed the Summer Breeze into the Ala Wai Harbor to prevent the vessel from running aground near Sand Island.

The master of the vessel, a 71-year-old man, was recovered unresponsive by the crew of the USCGC Kiska Friday and taken to Kawaihae, Hawaii, where they were met by EMS. ... [Read More]

MIAMI — Coast Guard search-and-rescue crews are searching for a man in the water 80 nautical miles northeast of Mayaguana, Bahamas, Friday.
At approximately 1 a.m., the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas cruise ship reported a missing 35-year-old male after he fell into the water during a cruise. The cruise ship launched two small boats to begin searching for the male who was last seen wearing a pink shirt and white shorts.
Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater HC-130 and MH-60 aircrews are currently searching for the man.... [Read More]
