HONOLULU — The Coast Guard rescued four fishermen from an 18-foot skiff 61 miles west southwest of Fais Island, in the Federated States of Micronesia, Monday. The crew of the USCGC Assateague (WPB 1136) located the skiff, brought the fishermen aboard and is currently en route Falalep Island with the skiff in tow.

HOUSTON — A Coast Guard aircrew medevaced a 62-year-old man from the tank ship Stena Companion, in the Galveston Fairway Anchorage, Monday afternoon.
The tanker shipping agent notified Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders that a crewmember was suffering heart attack symptoms at approximately 12 p.m.
Watchstanders launched an Air Station Houston aircrew aboard an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to assist.... [Read More]

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.— The Coast Guard rescued an injured sea turtle in the Tampa Bay, Fla., Monday.
At around 11:30 a.m. crewmembers from Aids to Navigation Team St. Petersburg, were returning from servicing buoys in the Tampa Bay when they spotted an injured loggerhead sea turtle in the middle of the Sunshine Skyway channel.
Crewmembers safely recovered the turtle without further injury. The turtle was transported to Clearwater Marine Aquarium in stable condition.... [Read More]
