HONOLULU — Responders are continuing the search for 3 missing fishermen off Oahu's North Shore, Wednesday. Searching are crews aboard a Coast Guard HC-130 Hercules airplane, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter, a Marine Corps UH-1Y helicopter, the USCGC Ahi (WPB-87364) and a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Kauai.The search area now extends as far west as Kauai and north up to nearly 100 miles offshore, based on drift models.... A boat crew from the Coast Guard Cutter Richard Dixon’s small boat is on scene with a suspected drug smuggling vessel with three Dominican men onboard June 23, 2016, approximately 70 nautical miles north of Arecibo, Puerto Rico.  The men were apprehended and are facing potential criminal prosecution in the U.S. District Court of Puerto Rico.  Their faces have been blurred to protect their identities.  (U.S. Coast Guard photo)... An estimated 2,074 gallons of diesel was reportedly released by the towing vessel Jerry Jarrett while transiting the lock and dam. The lock and dam is closed to river traffic to keep the diesel contained. Environmental Restoration has been dispatched by the responsible party and is en route.
