CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A boater recovered the body of a woman who was parasailing Saturday evening, after she fell to the water near South Padre Island. The boater called the Coast Guard at 6:23 p.m., reporting that he picked her up and began CPR. A Coast Guard Station South Padre Island boatcrew continued CPR and transported her to local emergency services where she was pronounced dead. The details of the accident are currently being investigated by Coast Guard and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials.... [Read More]

A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point rescues the four survivors, three men and a dog, of the sinking of the 70-foot catamaran Brandi Anne 41 miles northeast of Oahu's North Shore Aug. 9, 2015. MIAMI — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a man from a cruise ship, Sunday, approximately 40 miles east of Sebastian Inlet, Florida. Watchstanders in the Coast Guard Sector Miami command center were notified of the situation at 2 p.m., by a crewmember aboard the cruise ship Carnival Fascination. The report stated a 55-year-old passenger aboard the ship was suffering from severe stomach problems. A Coast Guard flight surgeon was notified and recommended the man be medevaced.... [Read More]
