BARNEGAT LIGHT, N.J. — The crew of Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light hosted a remembrance ceremony and wreath laying on Long Beach Island Tuesday to honor those who fought in The Battle of Exercise Tiger April 28, 1944.

MOBILE – Coast Guard and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency representatives are releasing the name of the deceased man located yesterday morning.William Glenn Massey, a 67-year old Daphne, Alabama resident was recovered in the vicinity of an offshore gas platform in Mobile Bay, Tuesday.A Good Samaritan discovered the body while fishing in the area, and alerted first responders who recovered the individual. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.— The Coast Guard rescued two people after their 38-foot sailboat ran aground and capsized west of Egmont Key, Florida, Wednesday.
At 7:15 a.m. watchstanders at Coast Guard Station St. Petersburg received a report of an aground sailboat taking water over the bow with two people aboard.
At 7:17 a.m. a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boatcrew from the station was launched. While en-route, watchstanders received a report from a good Samaritan that the sailboat had capsized and a person was in the water. ... [Read More]

MOBILE – The multi-agency search for three missing boaters in the Mobile Bay area will continue through Tuesday night.
The number of missing people was reduced to three when a body was recovered in the vicinity of an offshore gas platform in Mobile Bay earlier today.

Fort Myers Beach, Fla— The Coast Guard rescued four people from the water after their 22-foot boat capsized two miles west of Sanibel Island, Florida, Monday.
At 2:32 p.m. watchstanders from Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach received a report via VHF-FM radio channel 16 from a good Samaritan reporting four people were in the water after their 22-foot boat capsized. Three of the four people were wearing life jackets. The good Samaritan was able to provide the fourth person with a life jacket, and remained on scene until emergency responders arrived.... SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 47-year-old man from a tanker vessel approximately 150 miles south of San Diego, Monday.
At approximately 2 a.m., Monday, watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector San Diego received a notification from the crew of the Hong Kong-flagged liquified petroleum gas tanker Touraine, that a crewmember was suffering from possible kidney stones, and were requesting assistance.
A Sector MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew launched, arrived on scene and safely hoisted the crewmember.... [Read More]

PHILADELPHIA —The Coast Guard is responding to a fishing boat that is taking on water Sunday 20 miles east of Manasquan Inlet, New Jersey.
Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders received a report from a good Samaritan aboard the fishing boat Nemesis at 12:20 p.m. that the fishing boat Navigator was taking on water.
An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, New Jersey, and a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet assisted the Navigator crew.... [Read More]

MOBILE – The Coast Guard continues to search for at least five people in the Mobile Bay area Sunday.
Rescuers searched throughout the night for the missing boaters and have covered a total of 1,773 square miles as of 11:00 a.m., Sunday.

SAND KEY, Fla.— The Coast Guard medevaced a 43-year old woman from a boat 13 miles west of Clearwater, Florida, Sunday.
At 11:50 a.m. watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, Florida received a report via VHF-FM radio channel 16 from the captain of the Double Eagle II, that a woman was experiencing chest pains and was in need of emergency medical assistance.
