SAN FRANCISCO — A husband and wife were rescued after their kayaks capsized near Paradise Cay Saturday afternoon.Coast Guard Sector San Francisco watchstanders were notified at 5:48 p.m. Saturday by a good Samaritan that two kayakers capsized and were in the water with their black lab near Paradise Cay in Tiburon.A Coast Guard Station San Francisco response boatcrew was on patrol and diverted to assist with the search and rescue.... HONOLULU — The Coast Guard is searching for a person in the water approximately one mile off Waikiki, Saturday.
Watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu Command Center received notification from the Honolulu Police Department at 8:50 p.m., of a 19-year-old male who went missing while swimming to shore from a floating flotilla near Waikiki Walls.
The man was last seen at approximately 4:50 p.m. before failing to meet up with a friend ashore. He was last seen wearing black shorts with a pink floatie.... [Read More]

CHICAGO — The Coast Guard rescued 16 people from a burning boat north of Navy Pier, near the Water Filtration Plant in Chicago, Saturday.
There is no Coast Guard imagery at this time.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Station Calumet Harbor received a call at about 2:30 p.m. over Ch-16 marine radio about the fire on board a 35 - foot pleasure craft.
The watchstander directed a Coast Guard crew, already underway on patrol in the area aboard a 25-foot response boat, to respond. They arrived on scene in minutes.... [Read More]

JUNEAU, Alaska — A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew rescued an overdue hiker near Waterfall Creek, 10 miles south of Craig, Friday.
The helicopter crew found the 22-year-old man, who lost his way while returning from an overnight camping trip, and transported him safely back to his lodging.
Coast Guard Sector Juneau command center watchstanders received a request to help in the search from Alaska State Troopers Friday evening. Watchstanders directed the launch of the Jayhawk crew to assist in the search from above.... [Read More]

HOUSTON — Coast Guard boat and helicopter crews located three missing fishermen near an unmanned rig early Saturday morning about 6 miles off Bay City, Texas.
Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a relay call through Matagorda County dispatchers from a man who made it aboard the unmanned rig as a boat capsized quickly with he and five others around 3:30 a.m. He and two other men made it aboard the rig, but three others were missing.... JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Valiant returned to their homeport in Naval Station Mayport Friday following a 10-week deployment to the Florida Straits and Windward Passage in support of Operation Southeast Watch.
