Finnish cleantech company Norsepower and logistics provider SEA-CARGO have inked a deal to install two of Norsepower’s largest Rotor Sails onboard the SC Connector, a side door Ro-Ro. The agreement also heralds the installation of the world’s first tiltable Rotor Sail, an innovation that has resulted from the need to adapt the technology to the sailing requirements of the ship. Danish shipping company Norden has entered into a newbuilding contract with Chinese shipbuilder Nantong Cosco Khi Ship Engineering Co. Gothenburg Port Authority has teamed up with compatriot Göteborg Energi, Nordion Energi, Preem, St1, Renova in a project aimed at developing a joint infrastructure for the transport of liquefied carbon dioxide extracted using carbon capture and storage technology. Carbon capture and storage involves trapping carbon and liquefying it under pressure. Several crew members on board a containership owned and operated by a US subsidiary of Danish shipping giant Maersk have tested positive for coronavirus. Upon arriving in Newark, New Jersey, on 19 June 2020, a crew member of Maersk Idaho was admitted to a nearby hospital after exhibiting symptoms consistent with pneumonia, according to a statement issued by Maersk Line Limited. “The mariner has since tested positive for COVID-19  and remains hospitalized in stable condition,” the company said....
