JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Coast Guard pollution responders determined Wednesday that the Lady St. Johns, a retired passenger boat, is no longer discharging oil into the St. Johns River. Currently, Moran Environmental Recovery is working with divers from Logan Diving & Salvage to remove the remainder of the fuel from the vessel and is working to clean up the oil from the impacted area. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Coast Guard is investigating the release of oil from a retired passenger vessel that began sinking at its mooring on the St. Johns River, Tuesday. Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Jacksonville received the initial report of the release at approximately 7 p.m., stating that the Lady St. Johns was listing to one side and a sheen was spotted around the vessel. NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard medevaced a 68-year-old man from a cruise ship 180 miles off of Southwest Pass, La., Sunday.  Watchstanders at Coast Guard District 8 received a call requesting a medevac for a man who reportedly suffered a seizure.
