ALAMEDA, Calif. — The U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Customs and Border Protection interdicted approximately 15,000 pounds of cocaine and detained four suspects from a self-propelled semi-submersible vessel in international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean off the coast of Mexico Aug. 31.  A CBP Office of Air and Marine P-3 Maritime Patrol Aircraft tracked the 50-foot vessel while on routine patrol in the region. HONOLULU — The Coast Guard is searching for an 18-year-old man swept out to sea near Halona Blowhole Lookout, Monday. A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Honolulu, an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point and the crew of Coast Guard Cutter Kittiwake, an 87-foot coastal patrol boat homeported in Honolulu, are searching for the missing man. OREGON INLET, N.C. — The Coast Guard suspended its search Monday for a 38-year-old man near Bonner Bridge in Oregon Inlet.  Missing is Kristopher Mueller of Avon. Mueller was last known to be spear fishing in the vicinity of the Bonner Bridge. JUNEAU, Alaska – The Coast Guard located and rescued a stranded boater from Betton Island near Ketchikan, Alaska, Monday. An Air Station Sitka MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew located the boater who was then transported by a Station Ketchikan 25-foot Response Boat-Small to awaiting emergency medical services personnel in Ketchikan. BOSTON — The Coast Guard rescued a Leatherback sea turtle entangled in fishing gear Sunday approximately 15 miles south of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. A good Samaritan notified the Coast Guard Campbell crew of the turtle’s distress. Following notification, lookouts were posted along the Campbell as it neared the 6-foot turtle’s last known position. CLEVELAND — Coast Guard and Indiana Department of Natural Resources crews have ended their search for a missing 24-year-old man after crews found and recovered his body early Sunday morning. The man's name is not being released and there is no Coast Guard video or imagery associated with this case.
