NEW LONDON, Conn. – The U.S. Coast Guard Academy has again been named one of the best institutions of higher learning in the U.S. According to the 2016 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges publication, CGA holds the No. 1 spot in the “Regional Colleges North” category, the second consecutive year the institution has topped that list. The Academy also holds the No. 15 spot in the “Best in Undergraduate Engineering Programs” category in the publication, known as one of the oldest and best-known rankings of academic institutions in the nation.... At 8 p.m., Watchstanders at Sector New York command center in Staten Island, New York, received notification of a tow boat that had become disabled while towing a disabled sailing vessel and requested Coast Guard assistance. HONOLULU — The Coast Guard is seeking the public's help in identifying the owner of a yellow kite sail spotted just outside the breakwall of Kahului Harbor, Maui, Sunday. The crew of a Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter is currently searching for the owner of the sail in the vicinity of the sighting and an Urgent Marine Information Broadcast has been issued alerting mariners in the area to keep a sharp lookout and report any sightings to the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu Command Center....
