JUNEAU, Alaska – A Coast Guard Station Ketchikan boatcrew assisted the 38-foot fishing vessel Serenity after it began taking on water near the ferry terminal in Ketchikan, Alaska, Sunday. The Ketchikan boatcrew dewatered the Serenity until the vessel was safely moored and a temporary patch was outfitted at the breach in it's hull.  The Serenity is scheduled to be towed Monday by a salvage company.... NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard is searching for a person in the water on the Lower Mississippi River near mile marker 179, near Donaldsonville, Sunday. Missing is Capt. Ambarish Parekh, last seen wearing a blue shirt and long pants with a personal flotation device. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans were notified at 9:30 a.m. by the operator of the tugboat Charlotte, via the Vessel Traffic Service.  It was reported that the missing man was attempting to board the freight vessel African Raptor from a crew boat and fell off a ramp connecting the two vessels.... SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Coast Guard rescue crews ended a four-day search Saturday for possible survivors of a migrant vessel, which reportedly capsized sometime between the night of July 9, 2016 and Monday morning in waters between the British Virgin Islands and the Caribbean island of Saint Maarten. LITTLE CREEK, Va.– The Coast Guard rescued three mariners Saturday after their boat began taking on water near Virginia Beach. Coast Guard Station Little Creek watchstanders received a report at approximately 7:15 p.m. that a 23-foot boat was taking on water 10 miles east of Rudee Inlet. BOSTON — A Coast Guard rescue crew medevaced an unresponsive crewman from the fishing vessel Melinda Ann Saturday afternoon from Englishman Bay near Jonesport, Maine. Station Jonesport watchstanders were notified by the Melinda Ann at around 1:50 p.m. that a crewman had fallen overboard and was unresponsive when recovered. A 29-foot rescue boat crew from the station was underway at the time and diverted to assist.
