EATONS NECK, N.Y. – Coast Guard crewmembers held a memorial service for Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan B. "Nate" Bruckenthal at Coast Guard Station Eatons Neck, Friday. CHARLESTON, S.C. — One person was killed and two people were injured when a boat ran aground on Shutes Folly off Charleston, South Carolina, late Thursday evening.  One man was killed after being ejected from the vessel.  Two female passengers were treated for injuries and were taken to the Medical University of South Carolina. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Charleston received the initial report of the incident from one of the injured passengers, stating their recreational boat had run aground with enough force to eject one person from the boat.... FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. — A Coast Guard aircrew hoisted three people after their boat became grounded near Fripp Island, Wednesday.  Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Charleston received the initial report at approximately 6:30 p.m., stating that three teenagers, ages 21, 19 and 16, were stranded on their grounded boat, which was becoming unstable in the wind. HOUSTON — Kemah, Seabrook, Nassau Bay authorities and Coast Guard crews are searching for a missing 5-year-old girl near Kemah Boardwalk Wednesday night. The girl is described as having blonde, shoulder length hair and wearing a red and white shirt. At approximately 5 p.m., the father reported her missing near the edge of the pier. HOUSTON — A Coast Guard boatcrew medevaced a 46-year-old man from an oil tanker in the Galveston Fairway Anchorage Wednesday evening. At approximately 3 p.m., Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston watchstanders received a phone call from the captain of the 580-foot Jupiter Ace stating that a crewmember was coughing blood for unknown reasons.  Watchstanders launched a boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Galveston aboard a 45-foot response boat along with two local paramedics.
