WASHINGTON — A restored Coast Guard HH-52A Seaguard helicopter was dedicated into the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center during a ceremony Thursday.
The 1960s era HH-52A, which bore the tail number 1426, was renovated by Vector CSP and is now the only Coast Guard aircraft on display in a Smithsonian museum.... [Read More]

MIAMI — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter William Trump repatriated 22 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Thursday.
On Sunday, the cruise ship Carnival Sensation reported a rustic vessel with 22 suspected Cuban migrants aboard south of Dry Tortugas, Florida. The Carnival Sensation shadowed the rustic vessel until the Coast Guard Cutter Isaac Mayo arrived on scene and safely embarked all of the migrants. No medical concerns were reported.... [Read More]

HONOLULU — The Coast Guard medically evacuated an 82-year-old man experiencing difficulty breathing from a snorkeling tour boat near Olowalu Point, Maui, Wednesday.
A Station Maui 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew safely transported the man to Maalaea Pier where they were met by EMS and transferred the man for further transport to Maui Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.... [Read More]

A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and an HC-144 Ocean Sentry crew from Air Station Cape Cod covered a total of 555 square miles in four hours and 30 minutes of searching.... [Read More]

BOSTON — A Coast Guard crew medevaced an injured fisherman Tuesday night near Quicks Hole.
Watchstanders at Sector Southeastern New England’s command center received the report at approximately 8:30 p.m. from the captain aboard the Ocean Boy, a 74-foot fishing boat homeported in New Bedford, that one of his crewmembers injured a hand and needed medical attention.
A 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Menemsha launched, arrived on scene at approximately 9:20 p.m., and brought the injured man aboard.... [Read More]

Someone aboard the boat sent a distress hail at approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday via VHF-FM channel 16 to Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Southeastern New England. The person was reported to have said "mayday," before the transmission was lost. They passed no geographical location or additional information. A Coast Guard aircrew from Air Facility Newport rescued a man from a capsized boat about a mile west of Devil’s Punchbowl State Park, April 11, 2016.
The aircrew safely hoisted the man aboard the MH-65 Dolphin helicopter and transported him to the Air Facility in good condition.
