WASHINGTON — A restored Coast Guard HH-52A Seaguard helicopter was dedicated into the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center during a ceremony Thursday. MIAMI — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter William Trump repatriated 22 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Thursday. On Sunday, the cruise ship Carnival Sensation reported a rustic vessel with 22 suspected Cuban migrants aboard south of Dry Tortugas, Florida. The Carnival Sensation shadowed the rustic vessel until the Coast Guard Cutter Isaac Mayo arrived on scene and safely embarked all of the migrants. No medical concerns were reported.... [Read More]

Watchstanders at Sector Southeastern New England’s command center received the report at approximately 8:30 p.m. from the captain aboard the Ocean Boy, a 74-foot fishing boat homeported in New Bedford, that one of his crewmembers injured a hand and needed medical attention. A 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Menemsha launched, arrived on scene at approximately 9:20 p.m., and brought the injured man aboard.... [Read More]

Someone aboard the boat sent a distress hail at approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday via VHF-FM channel 16 to Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Southeastern New England. The person was reported to have said "mayday," before the transmission was lost. They passed no geographical location or additional information.
