ALAMEDA, Calif. – The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a Canadian sailor seen leaving in Hilo, Hawaii, Aug. 1 by a fellow mariner. Mr. Paul Lim of Salt Spring Island, British Colombia, reportedly left Hilo bound for Victoria, Canada, aboard the 35-foot Sailing Vessel Watercolour. BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Good Samaritan boaters aboard the vessel Northern Rose rescued four people from a plane crash in Cattle Pass near the south end of Lopez Island, Friday morning. The four survivors, one woman and three men, were transported to Friday Harbor by the crew of the Northern Rose and are being treated for injuries and hypothermia by emergency medical services.... EUREKA, Calif. — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 76-year-old man Thursday from a 964-foot cruise ship approximately 30 miles southwest of Brookings, Ore. Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay watchstanders received a report at approximately 1:10 p.m., of a 76-year-old male reportedly suffering from internal bleeding on the cruise ship Celebrity Infinity.  Due to the severity of his condition, a Coast Guard duty flight surgeon recommended that the man be taken to a hospital for treatment. ... HOUSTON — A good Samaritan rescued a 70-year-old man after his Hobie Cat sailboat capsized with he and his son aboard about one mile off Sunny Beach in Galveston, Thursday afternoon. ALAMEDA, Calif. — The U.S. Coast Guard has released its Major Incident Investigation (MII) Report into a search and rescue response 26-miles south of Maui that resulted in the a death of a civilian mariner aboard the sailing vessel Kolina on Nov. 5, 2015. JUNEAU, Alaska — A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted two men from the sinking 35-foot sailing vessel Rafiki 230 miles south of Cold Bay, Alaska, early Wednesday morning. SAN FRANCISCO — The Coast Guard, California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Office of Spill Prevention and Response, Army Corps of Engineers, and other partner agencies are preparing Tuesday to remove a capsized vessel near Bethel Island. The operations for the Spirit of Sacramento are scheduled to begin Wednesday afternoon with an approximate duration of 24 hours.
