PORT ANGELES, Wash. — The Coast Guard is seeking information from the public in locating a suspect or suspects who pointed a green laser light at a Coast Guard helicopter as the aircrew was making a final approach to Air Station Port Angeles, at 8:23 p.m., Monday. WASHINGTON – Coast Guard Recruiting Office Kansas City will send its first recruit to basic training at U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, New Jersey, Tuesday.   Melanie Yates, a 21-year-old female, is the first to “ship”’ from Topeka, Kansas. “When I first thought about the military, I reviewed all of the other services. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The Coast Guard repatriated 18 of 23 Dominican migrants to the Dominican Republic Friday and Saturday following two at-sea interdictions by Caribbean Border Interagency Group law enforcement authorities in the Mona Passage. WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Coast Guard suspended its search for a man last seen in Currituck Sound, west of Knotts Island, North Carolina, at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday.
