HONOLULU — The Coast Guard safely transported a pediatric patient to awaiting EMS at Maalaea Harbor, Tuesday.  The patient is reportedly in stable condition.   Watchstanders at Sector Honolulu Command Center received a request from Maui EMS for a patient transfer at 8 p.m., Tuesday. BOSTON – The Coast Guard was alerted to a sailboat taking on water Wednesday, three miles south of Sakonnet Point, Rhode Island. At about 9:15 a.m., Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Southeastern New England received a distress call on VHF Channel 16 from the sailboat Rhapsody, reporting it was taking on water with four people aboard, and one was injured. WARRENTON, Ore. — Coast Guard and local agency crews rescued a kayaker, who was wearing a life jacket and clinging to nearby pilings after his kayak capsized, south of Hammond Marina, Tuesday.A 29-foot Response Boat-Small II crew, from Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment in Ilwaco, Washington, pulled the man aboard and safely transported him to waiting emergency medical service personnel at the marina, where the kayaker denied EMS assistance.Local Fire and EMS sent landside units to assist, but they were unable to reach the kayaker.... LOS ANGELES — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 60-year-old male diver south of San Miguel Island, Monday, September 12, 2016. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach received a call at 5:54 p.m., from the commercial dive vessel, Vision, reporting that a male diver aboard was complaining of neck pain and fell unconscious.
