NEW ORLEANS — A Coast Guard response boat crew medevaced a person near Destin, Florida, Monday.
Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report at 5:28 p.m. Monday about a person aboard a pleasure craft who suffered from an allergic reaction to being stung by a lionfish.
A 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Destin recovered the patient and transferred him to emergency medical services at Station Destin.
The patient was reported to be in stable condition.

LAKE CHARLES, La. — Coast Guard air and boat crews, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's and Cameron Parish Sheriff's are searching for a man who went missing after his john boat capsized near Willow Lake, Monday evening.
Missing is Louis Thibodeaux, 42, described as being about 200 pounds and last seen in a plaid shirt without a life jacket.... [Read More]

PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard medevaced a man Monday off a commercial vessel east of Atlantic City.
Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders were notified at approximately 1:53 p.m. Monday of a 50-year-old man aboard the commercial vessel Jamaica, homeported out of Brielle, New Jersey, was reportedly experiencing seizure like symptoms.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Coast Guard aircrew medevaced a 34-year-old man off a 600-foot bulk carrier 10 miles offshore in the Brownsville Anchorage, off South Padre Island, Monday morning.
At approximately 9 p.m. Sunday, the vessel shipping agent contacted Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders and reported a crewmember on the Global Andes was experiencing symptoms from a pre-existing heart condition. ... [Read More]

PORTSMOUTH, VA — The Coast Guard assisted four people after their vessel began taking on water in Lynnhaven Roads near Virginia Beach on Saturday.

JUNEAU, Alaska — A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak Jayhawk helicopter crew, foward deployed to Kotzebue, medevaced a 65-year-old male from the tug boat Drew Foss 57 miles south of Kotzebue, Friday.The Jayhawk crew hoisted the man and transported him to awaiting emergency personnel in Kotzebue.
17th Coast Guard District command center watchstanders received a medevac request from Health Force Partners reporting that the 65-year-old man was suffering from stroke symptoms. The duty flight surgeon was consulted and recommended medevac within four hours. ... [Read More]
