HONOLULU – The Coast Guard suspended the search Saturday for an overdue 83-foot commercial fishing vessel near the Republic of Marshall Islands. Fishing vessel Clear Water 02 reportedly went missing with nine people aboard while en route Majuro for offload, March 12. "Suspending a search is never an easy decision and is only done after intense scrutiny and evaluation of our search efforts as a whole," said Lt. Justin Gear, JRCC Honolulu command duty officer. SAN DIEGO — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 69-year-old woman from a cruise ship approximately 40 miles west of San Diego, Thursday. At approximately 9:30 p.m., Thursday, the crew of the cruise ship Carnival Imagination requested assistance from Coast Guard Sector San Diego for a passenger who suffered a head injury from falling. SAN FRANCISCO — One person was rescued by good Samaritans off Dillon Beach in Bodega Bay Wednesday evening.
