The Coast Guard 52-foot motor lifeboat Victory on patrol passes the Cape Disappointment lighthouse Feb. 13, 2003.
The Victory is one of four 52-foot MLBs in the entire Coast Guard all located in the Pacific Northwest.

LUDINGTON, Mich. — The U.S. Coast Guard ended its search Monday afternoon for a man who disappeared in Lake Michigan two and a half miles off Ludington, Michigan, Sunday night.

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard has closed the Bayou Sorrel Waterway from mile marker 37.6 to mile marker 45 due to significant flooding near Port Allen, Louisiana, Monday.
The Port Allen and Bayou Sorrel Locks are closed to all vessels until further notice.
No vessel queue is reported.

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard rescued 15 people and assisted 70 more people in distress from rooftops, automobiles and trailers due to flooding in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, area throughout Saturday night.
Coast Guard aircrews were the only search and rescue resources flying continuously overnight.
The Coast Guard continues to support as requested by local authorities.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The crew of a Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter located two missing divers who were rescued by a Good Samaritan vessel Saturday afternoon, approximately 12 nautical miles just off Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.

Ludington, MI —The U.S. Coast Guard and local first responders continue to search Monday for a man who dissappeared in Lake Michigan two and a half miles off Ludington, Michigan, Sunday night.
The names of those involved in the case are not being released and there is no imagery or video available.

PHILADELPHIA – The Coast Guard has suspended their search for a missing swimmer off Bradley Beach, N.J, at 7:55 p.m. Sunday.
The multi-agency search efforts covered 248-square miles, and involved the Bradley Police Department, Belmar Water Rescue Team and the New Jersey State Police.
The Coast Guard began their search for the 31-year old man, when they were notified of a swimmer who was swept out to sea at about 7 p.m., Saturday.... [Read More]

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Coast Guard rescued four boaters Sunday 24 miles southwest of Matanzas Pass Preserve.
Watch standers from Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg received multiple mayday calls at 12:20 p.m. Sunday via VHF-FM marine radio channel 16. PONCE DE LEON, Fla. — The Coast Guard medevacked a woman Sunday near Disappearing Island after she became unconscious.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville were notified at 2:07 p.m. a 39-year-old woman was unconscious. A Coast Guard 24-foot Rescue Boat crew from Station Ponce de Leon was in the area and diverted to the scene at 2:20 p.m. The woman was transported to Ponce Inlet to awaiting EMS personnel who took her to Halifax Health Care Systems.

NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard continues to assist as needed in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, area flooding response Sunday.

BOSTON — A crew from Coast Guard Station Boston rescued six people Sunday morning after their boat sank near Castle Island in Dorchester Bay.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., watchstanders at Sector Boston received notification from the Massachusetts State Police stating they received a distress call via 911 of a boat sinking in Dorchester Bay.
A 45-foot rescue boat crew from Station Boston launched immediately and located six people in the water near a partially submerged boat between Castle Island and Thompson Island.... [Read More]
