MIAMI – The Coast Guard found and rescued two fishermen Monday in a disabled 43-foot Tiera yacht 22 miles west of West End, Bahamas. Watchstanders with Coast Guard Sector Miami received a call Sunday evening from a concerned family member reporting the two overdue boaters from a fishing trip. BOSTON — The Coast Guard recovered two people on Sunday from a grounded boat in Essex Bay in Essex, Massachusetts. At about 5:45 p.m., a member aboard a 19-foot pleasure craft called watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Boston reporting that his engine failed and the boat was aground in low tide. BUFFALO – The Coast Guard is suspending its active search Sunday for a man who went missing in Lake Ontario Saturday night. The Coast Guard is not releasing the man’s name or hometown and there is no imagery available. At approximately 7:15 p.m., Saturday, the man’s family alerted the Coast Guard and other emergency response agencies in the area that they could no longer see the man swimming in water. The man’s family stated they saw him struggling in the waves but were unable to help him.... [Read More]
