EUREKA, Calif. — U.S. Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay responded Thursday to a report of a capsized 19-foot pleasure craft with four people aboard near the Humboldt Bay South Jetty. The Coast Guard received a report that the vessel was swept into the jetty, began taking on water, and capsized shortly after, stranding the four boaters on the jetty rocks. PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard and local agencies are searching for a person in the water near Virginia Beach Thursday.  Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads received a report at 6:14 p.m. that a 25-year-old Caucasian male had fallen off his tube while tubing behind a boat near red Buoy 2 approximately 100 yards from Little Creek Channel. PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard medevaced two fishermen from two separate fishing vessels near Atlantic City, New Jersey Thursday. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received a report at 9:55 a.m. of two fishermen who were experiencing severe seasickness approximately 60 miles east of Atlantic City. NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard has ended their search for a thirty-year-old man in the water off of Panama City Beach, Florida, Thursday. Panama City Beach Police recovered a body matching the description of the missing person. Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a report Wednesday that Dimitriy Bondarenka was missing off of Panama City Beach, Florida. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Maryland-National Capital Region received a report from TowBoatUS stating a vessel was taking on water. BOSTON — The Coast Guard  medevaced a sick woman from a sailboat Monday near Cuttyhunk Island, Massachusetts.  At about 7 p.m., the woman's husband called watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England reporting that his wife was suffering abdominal pains and needed assistance. TAMPA, Fla.— Coast Guard crews along the west coast of Florida had a busy weekend and remind boaters to stay vigilant on the water especially during this week’s inclement weather. Due to multiple factors, including weather, Coast Guard crews responded to 10 search-and-rescue calls saving four lives and assisting 10 more.
