PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Capt. Richard J. Wester assumed command of Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads Wednesday during a change-of-command ceremony held at the Sector in Portsmouth. Wester relieved Capt. Christopher S. Keane, who has served as the Sector Hampton Roads Commander since June 2014. Keane’s new assignment will be at Coast Guard Headquarters as Chief of the Office of Shore Forces.

BOSTON — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Harriet Lane towed the 86-foot fishing boat Buzzards Bay with five people aboard after it became disabled Tuesday 50 miles northeast of Cape Cod. BOSTON — Coast Guard crews found the missing couple who went rafting Monday afternoon in Cohasset. At about 4 a.m. Tuesday, the MH-60 Jayhawk air crew from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod spotted the couple about eight nautical miles northwest of Rocky Beach. Station Point Allerton 29-foot response boat crew arrived on scene and brought the couple aboard. The boat crew is bringing the couple back to the station to awaiting Emergency Medical Services. BOSTON — Coast Guard crews are searching for a missing couple who went rafting Monday afternoon in Cohasset.  At about 1 a.m. Tuesday, Coast Guard Sector Boston watchstanders received a report from the couple’s son that his parents, Kathleen, 52, and Joseph Earner, 55, went out in a green and yellow raft yesterday afternoon in the vicinity of Rocky Beach and haven’t returned. HOLLAND, Mich. — Search efforts by the United States Coast Guard, Ottawa County Sheriff Department and Holland Fire Department are ongoing in the water a quarter mile off Holland for a missing 16-year-old boy. The names of those involved in the case are not being released and there is no imagery or video available for this case.
