WARRENTON, Ore. — Coast Guard personnel responded to the release of 418 gallons of diesel into the Willamette River at the Kinder Morgan Bulk Terminal northwest of Portland, Monday. LOS ANGELES – The Coast Guard evacuated three individuals after their vessel lost power and capsized near Skunk Point on Santa Rosa Island, Monday. Coast Guard watchstanders at Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach received notification at 4:30 a.m., that the 50-foot commercial vessel, Angels Gate, ran aground. A Good Samaritan aboard the fishing vessel, Pacific Knight, arrived on scene and launched a small skiff with three individuals aboard to assist the vessel Angels Gate. NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard has rescued a missing oyster fisherman in the Cocodrie, La., region, Saturday. The man is reportedly uninjured. An Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter rescue crew spotted the missing boat and the man walking in an area of marsh during search efforts at 1:41 p.m., Saturday. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders were notified by the Terrebonne Parish Sherriff’s Department at 6:30 p.m., Friday, that Tommy Newsome was reportedly last seen by other fishermen Monday, October 19, 2015. HONOLULU — The Coast Guard and the Honolulu Fire Department rescued 13 people from a 46-foot sailing yacht that ran aground near the Ala Wai Harbor entrance in Honolulu, Friday. The crew of the USCGC Kittiwake and  a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew established a safety zone around the sailing vessel Boomerang while HFD was able to reach the vessel via surfboard and safely offload all 13 passengers to shore.
