SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Napier repatriated 26 Dominicans to La Romana, Dominican Republic Sunday, after a group of 36 migrants was interdicted in the Mona Passage traveling illegally to Puerto Rico Friday.
The remaining 10 migrants were brought into Puerto Rico for further processing and potential criminal indictment by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Puerto Rico on charges of attempted illegal entry and re-entry into the United States. ... [Read More]

WASHINGTON — Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Paul Zukunft will deliver the 2016 State of the Coast Guard Address Feb. 23, 2016, at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

BOSTON — The Coast Guard and the Boston Harbor Pilots Association responded to the 55-foot tug boat Emily Anne taking on water with three people aboard Tuesday about 5 miles east of Deer Island in Boston Harbor.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Coast Guard rescued two men from a capsized commercial fishing vessel that was located approximately six miles west of San Francisco Monday.
Coast Guard Sector San Francisco watchstanders received a distress call from the commercial fishing vessel Jack D 7 at 10:02 a.m. The vessel's crew reported that it was taking on water and was going down fast. MELBOURNE, Fla. — The boat belonging to a man reported missing was found, Monday, off the coast of Satellite Beach in Melbourne as the search for the man continues.
Missing is Lloyd Chamberlain, 38, resident of Merit Island, Florida.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral received a phone call at approximately 10 p.m., Sunday, from the friend of the missing man. He reported that he was scheduled to return by dusk, but had not returned home.

LOS ANGELES — A Coast Guard crew assisted in the rescue of four boaters in distress near the south jetty of Morro Bay Harbor Sunday.
At 1 p.m., Sunday, watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles-Long Beach Command Center received a mayday call over VHF channel 16 from a 18-foot pleasure craft. It was reported that the vessel had capsized with three adults and one child aboard.
The Coast Guard immediately launched a 47-foot rescue boat from Coast Guard Station Morro Bay. Morro Bay Harbor Patrol also launched a boat to assist in the rescue.... [Read More]

BALTIMORE — The Unified Command continues its investigation Friday of the oil sheen at Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary near Arlington, Virginia.
"The marine safety lab forensic petroleum analysis shows that all samples are derived from a common source," said Cmdr. Michael Keane, incident commander. "Once the National Pollution Fund Center reviews the results of the investigation, a formal designation of a responsible party will be determined."
