LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Emergency Services, along with federal, state, and local agencies including the Coast Guard, will conduct a full scale emergency counter terrorism exercise near the Louisville Slugger Field on Wednesday. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The Captain of the Port, Coast Guard Sector San Juan, announced Monday that a $5,000 civil penalty has been issued against a tourist who intentionally jumped from a passenger ferry during its arrival to the ferry terminal in Vieques, Puerto Rico. During the afternoon of Jan. 24, 2016, a passenger aboard the Cayo Largo jumped into the water and swam to shore while the ferry was conducting mooring operations.  Upon exiting the water, this passenger was met and detained by local police. CLEVELAND — The U.S. Coast Guard and local authorities are searching western Lake Erie near Turtle Island, Ohio, for a missing man who was expected back Monday night and did not return. Missing is 35 year old Brenton Burton. Around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, the watchstander at Coast Guard Station Toledo, Ohio, and the Monroe County, Michigan, Sheriff's office were notified that Burton was missing. BOSTON — Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team Woods Hole members climbed structures in Buzzards Bay Sunday to upgrade the lighting systems to self-contained LEDs. The older 155 millimeter lanterns, which were replaced, are powered by a battery, which is in turn charged by a solar panel.
