MILWAUKEE — Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan urges anyone going on or near the water Monday to use extreme caution and be aware of the weather that will be affecting the area over the next few days. The National Weather Service in Milwaukee issued a storm warning for southern Lake Michigan through midnight and a gale warning for the entire lake until Tuesday morning. HONOLULU — The Coast Guard responded to a report of a disabled 50-foot sailing vessel with 10 people aboard a mile and a half from Kewalo Basin, Oahu, Sunday. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Coast Guard aircrew rescued two adults and one minor from an oil platform in Mesquite Bay Saturday evening. At approximately 10 p.m., Coast Guard Station Port Aransas watchstanders received a call from a man stating he and two others swam to a platform after their boat capsized around 6 p.m. Sector Corpus Christi watchstanders launched an MH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Corpus Christi to conduct the rescue. MIAMI — Crewmembers aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Isaac Mayo repatriated 27 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Saturday. This repatriation is a result of two separate migrant interdictions at sea, which both took place Friday, December 18, in the south Florida Straits. While on routine patrol, the Coast Guard Cutter Resolute located a rustic vessel with a motor, 45 miles nautical miles southwest of Key West, Fla., with 12 Cuban migrants aboard. PHILADELPHIA — The Coast Guard is overseeing salvage efforts Saturday for a motor vessel that ran aground on the Delaware River. The vessel was successfully refloated at approximately 1 p.m. The 622-foot Marshall Islands-flagged motor vessel, Odigitria, ran aground at approximately 4:30 a.m. as it was transiting to Grows Terminal in Morrisiville, Pennsylvania.
