NEW ORLEANS – The Coast Guard and other agencies are responding to an oil discharge near Bay Long, Louisiana, Monday.Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report at 10:09 a.m. that approximately 5,300 gallons of crude oil leaked from a pipeline own by Harvest Pipeline Company after it was struck by a Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company vessel that was conducting excavation operations.The pipeline is reported as secured.ECM Maritime Services, an oil spill response organization, has been contracted Great Lakes Dredge and Dock company to manage clean-u... HOUSTON — Coast Guard air and boat crews rescued two men who made a distress call when their boat started sinking 6 miles off Galveston Monday morning. Rescued were Eugenio Suarez and Julio Suarez. BOSTON — The Coast Guard reminds mariners and coastal communities in Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands to use extreme caution on and near the water today and through midweek. NEW YORK — A Coast Guard crew rescued three people from a capsized vessel near Bartlett Reef, Connecticut, Sunday.  At approximately 4:30 p.m., Search and Rescue coordinators at Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound received a call from a crewmember aboard the motor vessel Mary Ellen reporting an 18-foot capsized catamaran with three people in the water near Bartlett Reef. HONOLULU — The Coast Guard is seeking the public's help identifying the owner of an orange Type 1 life jacket approximately five miles southwest of Barbers Point, Oahu, Saturday. The life jacket appeared to be in the stored position with no identifiable markings and was unable to be recovered. MIAMI — Two people were found deceased Saturday following a plane crash approximately one and a half miles south of Port Everglades. Watchstanders with Coast Guard Sector Miami received a call from the Broward County Sheriff's Office at approximately 10 a.m. Saturday, reporting a down Cessna airplane roughly four miles south of Port Everglades with an unknown number of people on board.
